THRUMS MAKE ROOF TRUSS TROPHY PROGRESS

THE Thrums have progressed to the second round of the Forfar and District Sunday Amateur League's Forfar Roof Truss Trophy.
In a first round tie played on Sunday, they required a penalty shoot-out to get the better of AFC Plough.

Sunday's results were as follows:- Forfar Roof Truss Trophy first round - Thrums Hotel 4, AFC Plough 4 (Thrums won four-three on penalties);
Kirrie Thistle Social Club walk over against the Crown Inn; AS Tutties v Vollies (match postponed).

League

Abbey Athletic walk over against Cliffburn; Craw's Nest 6, Strathmore 4; Letham 4, Millgate 2.

This Sunday's fixtures are as follows:- Scottish Amateur Cup third round - Abbey Athletic v Abbey Athletic (as arranged, Edinburgh); Hallglen v AFC Plough (as arranged, Falkirk); Queen's Park Spiders v Letham Hotel (as arranged, Glasgow); Strathmore v Sporting Chessor Inn (Lower Steele, kick-off 1.30 pm).

Forfar Roof Truss Trophy first round - AS Tutties v Vollies (A. Kennedy, Hercules Den).

League - Cliffburn v Kirrie Thistle Social Club (G. Adams, Victoria Park); Dalhousie v Finavon (M. Harrison, Carnoustie House); Millgate v Crown Inn (A. Smith, Hercules Den); Thrums v Craw's Nest (D. Muir, Martin Park).

The draw for the second round of the Tayside Sunday Amateur Cup is as follows:- Finavon v FC Plant; Strathmore v Tayport; Vollies v Bonargrove; Douglas Athletic v Cliffburn; Craw's Nest v Thrums Hotel; Oldemill v Letham Hotel; Harlequins v Crown Inn; Abbey Athletic v Fintry Athletic. Ties to be played on Sunday, December 6.
