YOUNG striker Johnny Russell made a dream debut as Forfar Athletic ran out comfortable three-nil winners over East Stirling at Ochilview.
The youngster, on loan from Dundee United until the turn of the year, opened the scoring in 20 minutes, and added a second on the hour mark, firing home from six yards.

His fellow striker, Derek Lilley opened his Loons account when he converted a cross from Elliot Smith.

Russell almost made it a fairytale ending, but was denied his hat-trick by a fine save from Greg Mitchell, and was also unlucky to see a header come back off the post.

Nevertheless, it was a comprehensive win for Dick Campbell's men, maintaining their impressive form away from Station Park, and taking their division three points tally to six, to move into fourth position in the table.

The Loons will bid to continue to shine on their travels next weekend when they head for Berwick Rangers.
