TWO sporting brothers are the latest recipients of a £250 Forfar Roof Truss Company Limited sponsorship cheque.
Grant and Fraser Menmuir of Yeaman Street in Forfar, were presented with their award at the Orchardbank premises of the company last midweek.
The brothers both play hockey for Dundee Wanderers Hockey Club and in the District Midlands set-up.
And both have been recognised at international level.
Grant has picked up nine international caps at under-16 level, his sporting achievements having seen him travel to Belgium, Poland and Ireland in recent times.
Fraser competes at under-18 level and has been in Belgium for warm-up games ahead of four-national tourney in Poland. He is also set for a trip to Wales later this month, for the British Under-18 Championships.
The brothers travel to Edinburgh and Glasgow on a regular basis for training sessions, and that can be a costly business, especially with the spiralling cost of fuel!
However, the £250 sponsorship award from Forfar Roof Truss Company Limited will help offset travelling and other costs, including the purchase of hockey kit and sticks, as the brothers strive to continue their international careers in the sport.
