A NEW season beckons for Forfar Indoor Bowling Club.
The 2008-2009 season will begin on Monday of next week with limited sessions for two weeks, after which the club will be fully operational.

Because of a slight drop in numbers last season a concerted drive is underway to bolster the membership - and is already showing signs of success.

The club, which has six rinks, is based at Forfar Indoor Sports, Suttieside, Forfar, sharing the complex with curling and skating, and where there is a friendly bar and catering facilities.

Visitors - including other clubs, associations, businesses, etc. - are welcome, subject to certain conditions, while, for those who wish to become members, free coaching is available.

Juniors, who pay a nominal membership fee, enjoy special coaching sessions.

Members of the Forfar Indoor Bowling Club management committee will be pleased to welcome anyone who wishes to pay a visit to see what's on offer. Alternatively, they can contact secretary Greg Mitchell on 01307 464261.
