FORFAR'S Team Jan-Shi achieved success at the IAKSA Ayr Open kickboxing tournament, winning three gold medals.
Head coach George Bertie, who runs Jan-Shi Black Belt Academy, took his team to compete at the Citadel Sports Centre in Ayr where the team won gold in the three man team event and two gold medals in the individual events.

George said: "I was impressed with my team, as this is currently the toughest tournament circuit in Scotland and to get a place on the podium is a great achievement".

Team Jan-Shi proved they have the skills and talent to win gold by defeating teams from Dundee, Perthshire, Stirling, Edinburgh and Lothian, Aberdeen and Grampian, Highlands, Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Ayrshire.

Team Jan-Shi had nine members represent Angus and came back with three gold, three silver and two bronze.
