THE junior championships were staged at Kirriemuir Tennis Club on Saturday.
On a very warm day the under-10s started the tournament with some hard fought matches in both groups.

Tasmin Glass and Jamie Sherry played well to reach the semi-finals but were knocked out by Angus Redford and Glen Barclay. It was Glen who went on to become the under-10 champion with Tasmin receiving a trophy for best under-10 girl.

In the under-12 tourney, Molly Redford secured victory over Brewster White and became champion.

Alasdair Gillies beat Derek Millar to become the under-15 champion. The tournament was rounded off with a barbecue.
