JUNIOR CRICKET CHAMPS AT STRATHIE

THE junior season at Strathmore Cricket Club ended with the presentation of awards in the clubhouse.
The Canmore Trophy for the junior player of the year was presented to Stuart Lumsden.
The other main award-winners for the 2008 season were as follows:-
Under-11s: batting and bowling - Gavin Petrie; most improved player - Lennon Sturrock.
Mini hardball: batting - Jonathon Blackie; bowling - Morgan Evans; most improved player - Hamza Ahmed.
Under-13s: batting, bowling and most improved player - Ryan Hedge;
Under-15s: batting - Douglas Sayers; bowling - Drew Orr; most improved player - Stuart Lumsden.
Team sponsorship: under-11s - Nickel 'n' Dime, Montrose; under-13s - Nickel 'n' Dime, Forfar; Under-15s - Robertson Construction.
