FORFAR Athletic remain unbeaten in the league away from home this season, making it seven points from a possible nine when they fought back to grab a two-all draw at Berwick Rangers on Saturday.
It was a match of three spot-kicks, with the home side converting one and the Loons two.

The opening goal came in 21 minutes when Johnny Russell was pulled down in the box and Kevin McLeish converted the spot-kick.

But back came the home side to level in 43 minutes, former Loon Darren Gribben netting after David Dunn was judged to have upended Jamie Ewart.
Berwick took the lead on the hour mark when Gribben again netted from the spot, this time after Craig Anderson had been felled in the area.

But Forfar weren't finished and they secured a draw eleven minutes from time when a trialist rounded the home keeper to net.

Having consolidated fourth spot in the table, Dick Campbell's men will bid to get their home season up and running a week on Saturday (September 13) when Montrose visit Station Park for the first derby encounter of 2008-2009.

Meanwhile, ahead of the closure of the transfer window on Monday, Forfar have added two new players to the squad - both by the name of Gibson.

Nineteen-year-old Dundee United goalkeeper John Gibson has joined the Loons on loan until January and Forfar have also snapped up another on-loan player, striker Graham Gibson, who has been released by table-toppers Stenhousemuir.

Berwick Rangers - McGurk, Guy, Lennox, Ewart, McLean, Bonar, McLaren, Craig Anderson (Callaghan), Gribben, Lister (Grant) and Greenhill.

Forfar Athletic - Brown, McNally, Smith, Dunn, Tulloch, Winter (Trialist), McLeish, Brady, Lilley, Russell (Campbell) and Kilgannon (Fotheringham).

Referee - E. Norris; crowd - 390.
