TWENTY-ONE boats took part in the latest Solo Traveller event held at Forfar Sailing Club on Saturday.
Competitors came from as far afield as Wick and Penicuik. There was also a good turn out by Forfar club members, with five taking part in the competition.

The light, flukey southerly winds gave race officer, Shona Wood, some pause for thought when setting the courses but she was able to get all three planned races underway.

This was despite the "help" of a certain member of the racebox team who shall remain nameless. The safety boat crew had a quiet time of it, however, with such light winds.

The club members who staffed the kitchen kept everyone well supplied with bacon rolls and cake.

Results were as follows:-
1, G. Henstridge, Pentland Firth Sailing Club; 2, G. Tosh, Montrose Sailing Club; 3, K. Gibb, Largo Bay Sailing Club.

The best result for a local sailor was a seventh place for Alison Geddes.
