A special presentation ceremony was held at Forfar Academy last week to recognise the sports achievements of pupils throughout the school.
Dundee United midfielder Scott Robertson was invited to present pupils with their distinctive sports achievement ties in recognition of their high level of performance in a wide variety of sports.

The local footballing star and Scotland internationalist, who began his career with city rivals Dundee, praised the pupils for their achievements and encouraged them to focus on their chosen sport, as well as their school studies.

Prior to the presentation Mr Andy Marshall of the school's PE department said: "These ties are being awarded to pupils who have achieved or significantly participated at a national or regional level.

"They do not only represent their sporting achievement but also their attitude and behaviour.

"It is therefore hoped that they will take pride in wearing the sports colours tie as part of their school uniform, and that they will feel a sense of achievement which will further strengthen their role as a significant representative of Forfar Academy."
