LOCAL curlers played host to a touring party from Canada today (Thursday).
As part of a three-week tour of the country, the curlers were at Forfar Curling Centre contesting the Strathcona Cup 100 competition.
Since their arrival in Scotland in early January, the touring party has been split into two groups of 20, playing in the north and south of the country.
The north party arrived in Dundee from Aberdeen on Monday, and attended a civic reception in the city on Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday the Canadians visited Discovery Point and Verdant Works, before making a trip into Angus to attend a Burns Supper being staged at Forfar Golf Club and hosted by the curlers of Dundee District, Angus Province and North & South Esk Province.
