A Kirriemuir teenager has organised a "Can't Cook, Won't Cook" fund-raising night to help send her on her way to Thailand for a gap year.
Naomi Weir (17), a former pupil at Webster's High School, has the daunting task of raising £4,850 for her Project Trust year when she will teach English at all levels during her "year out".

She currently works full time at Thistle News and Gifts
in the town centre whilst actively fund-raising to meet her target.

So far her efforts have raised just over £3,000, so she is hoping for a good turnout on Friday, March 19 for her latest venture in the Northmuir Hall.

The evening will be led by the Pampered Chef company with Naomi and her friend Frances Nicholson trying to recreate the dishes demonstrated.

The pair will pit their culinary skills against Webster's teachers Mrs Duff and Ms McGregor to see who can turn out the best dishes on the night.

The evening will also include a raffle and refreshments will be served.
The event is ticket only. Tickets are now on sale, priced £2.50, from Thistle News and Gifts.

The evening begins at 7.30 pm.

Kitchen utensils from the Pampered Chef range will also be on sale during the evening, with 10% of the proceeds going to Project Trust.
