MEMBERS of Kirriemuir Rotary Club were gunning for glory recently at a UK-wide Rotary competition in North Wales.
James Arnott, Simon Campbell and Malcolm Taylor represented the Kirriemuir club at the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland Clay Pigeon competition in Frodsham, Warrington.

The club has taken part for the last couple of years in the event, which, this year saw 18 Rotary Clubs from up and down the country take part.

The three Kirriemarians came fourth overall in the group event, while James Arnott won the individual competition to clinch the Noel Fryer Cup.

A delighted James said: "It was a tough competition, but an enjoyable experience. My shooting was a bit wayward to begin with and threatened to let me down but fortunately I managed to pull it together in the end to win."
