A SPECIAL presentation was made at the Academy Medical Centre on Friday, when golden couple Geordie and Mary Kelman paid a visit with their two-year-old grandson Cameron Kelman to hand over the fantastic sum of £320 to Diabetes UK.
The couple raised the money on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary with a family meal at Kookaburras restaurant and asked that donations be made to the charity instead of gifts, as both Geordie and Mary suffer from the condition.

The couple have three children, George, Neil and Sheila, and six grandchildren. Geordie spent his 28 year career as a stockman for Lord and Lady Lyall of Kinnordy whilst Mary was a house maid.
