Local resident Rebecca Fletcher organised a lively night of Zumba last week at Dance Studio Forfar, successfully drawing in a buzzing crowd and raising £230 to support Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

Rebecca is the assistant shop manager at the Forfar CHSS store and wanted to put her Zumba skills to use for the charity as she also teaches classes locally.

The night saw over 30 attendees who all had a ‘zuper' time dancing up a sweat while raising vital funds to help people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness.

The attendees included staff, volunteers, and a lot of local regular shoppers and zumba fans. Fifteen bags of donations to the Forfar store were also collected on the night so it's worth popping in to look for a bargain as the stock is always being updated!

Rebecca spoke of the night "It was so much fun hosting our zumbathon and I was delighted with how many people came along to get involved. Everyone had a great time and really put the moves in, which was not only good for their health, but with the funds raised will help the health of others in the community. Thank you so much to everyone who came along and made the night such a success."
