Zumba classes show their worth

ZUMBA classes have reached a total of 51,000 paying customer sessions at Angus Council venues during the last year.

The classes have proved so popular that they will continue to run throughout the summer months.

Zumba is a cardio-based workout, accompanied by Latin-inspired music with sculpting exercises designed to tone the entire body.

Those taking part are able to burn up to 500 calories an hour.

The programme is designed for all levels of fitness and is not limited to dancers or those who regularly work out in the gym.

Zumba sessions are held at the following venues: Lochside Leisure Centre or Reid Hall (01307 464201), Webster’s Sports Centre or Kirriemuir Town Hall (01575 574849), Brechin Leisure Centre (01356 623088), Montrose Town Hall or Mill Street (01674 676211), Carnoustie Leisure Centre (01241 853246), Saltire Leisure Centre (01241 431060) and Arbroath Sports Centre and Arbroath Community Hall (01241 872998).
