THIS Sunday The Old Masons Arms hosts the final of their popular X Factor style karaoke competition.

Postponed from last week due to the freezing weather, the 16 contestants will once again have to psych themselves up before they take to the stage. The culmination of four heats over the past few weeks will see the finalists sing their hearts out as they try to win the 500 first prize.

If the past few years are anything to go by the singers are in for a tough competition as they are scrutinised by the vociferous large audience and the very judgemental judges.

The event is held every year and has raised thousand of pounds for K I S, the Masons' own charity that raises funds for local youth clubs and individuals who require assistance for equipment or training facilities

The 16 singers, some excellent and some in the "Wagner category", will perform their favourite songs before being eliminated, with the final two in a "sing-off" for the 500 first prize.

Starting at 8pm the event is hosted by the popular Dave Eggie and a raffle will be held during the event. If you require seating it is advised you turn up early.
