‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ at Forfar Academy

FOURTH year Personal Development and ISB pupils from Forfar Academy, planned a coffee morning to raise funds for charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support encourage people to host coffee mornings in order to help support the cause.

The coffee morning supplied staff members with delicious cakes, tea and coffee on their 15 minute morning break for a donation.

Morag Patterson, who was assisting with the coffee morning, said: “The staff were having such a good time, they just wanted to stay!”

Pupils at the school helped decorate the room with bunting, table decorations and pictures.

The coffee morning could not of happened without sponsors from local businesses which included the Co-op for food supplies, Saddlers and McLarens for baked goods and also the Factory shop, Result Gym, M.A.C Valeting and Rennies the butchers.

Garry Lyall, who is the manager at the Co-op petrol station said: “The Co-op has a commitment to the community and we were delighted to help.”
