Work on the repair and maintenance of roads in Kirriemuir town centre is continuing with attention turning to the north section of High Street today (Tuesday).

Phases one and two in St Malcom’s Wynd and Glengate are now complete. The latest section of work focuses on the cobbles and will take two to three weeks to carry out.

The final stage of the project, in the southern section of the High Street is also scheduled to take two to three weeks.

While access for cars and other vehicles is restricted, it is business as usual for town centre pedestrians and shoppers.

Additional signage has been put in place to make clear that Bellies Brae car park is open for use so people can park and walk the short distance into the town centre.

Bus services have been altered to accommodate the work.

Passengers with queries or questions should contact the relevant bus service operator or Angus Council’s ACCESSLine on 03452 777 778.

Anyone who requires further information concerning the repair and maintenance work can contact Roads@angus.gov.uk or phone 01307 473910.
