Witness appeal after pedestrian dies after road accident


Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a 78-year-old pedestrian and a bus on Don Street, Forfar.

The incident took place at 11.10am yesterday (Friday, January 8).

The man suffered a head injury and was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment, where sadly he died as a result of the injuries sustained.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and has information that could assist police with their enquiries into the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.

The man’s identity will not be released until next of kin are fully informed.
