Pupils and staff at Whitehills Primary School are delighted to have achieved Eco-schools Green Flag status.
Inspectors Cara Roberts and Craig Anderson visited the school recently and were impressed with a presentation and a tour of the school.
They were also pleased to see all the colourful displays and information that had been collated about the school’s “Eco activities”.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “Our report said that we were integrating ‘Learning for Sustainability issues’ across the school and that there were a wide range of topics being explored.
“It also said that we had made a good start at monitoring the positive impact of all our actions.
“We were really pleased to be able to share all our hard work with them and our successes.
“Cara even took photos of our Eco noticeboard because she liked it so much.”
