With PREPARATIONS for TARGE 2012 in full swing, members of the Kirriemuir Wargames Club were delighted to note some of the traders who will be offering their wares in Webster’s High School on Saturday, November 10.
Scheltrum Miniatures from Aberdeen make a welcome return to TARGE with their extensive range of buildings, ships and figures. From pre-history to alternative futures, proprietor Sholto has created ranges of ships in 15mm and 28mm scales to suit ancient Greeks, Dark Ages Scots and Japanese Samurai to name but a few.
Definitely worth a closer look, Commando Miniatures is a new company also from north east Scotland. Last Valley from Hull provides the last word in wargames terrain. Their work is very realistic and routinely features in magazine quality photo shoots.
Four A Miniatures have ranges from the near future and fantasy genres whilst Highlander Games from Dundee specialize in collectable card games, role-playing games, board games and kits. Traders from Fife include Figures in Comfort who supply the best in safe transportation for figures and vehicles, Warbases with a huge range of laser cut bases and a growing range of wooden kit buildings and David Imrie’s Claymore Castings with beautiful 28mm Scots and English medieval figures and flags.
With clubs from all over Scotland and the north of England taking part in TARGE, it promises to be the most successful ever. If you are curious to see what wargamers get up to, TARGE are always happy to discuss and explain their latest projects. All of the raffle and much of the proceeds of TARGE will go to local and national charities.
