Spectators were treated to one of the biggest displays put on by the British Army in the last decade at Arbroath’s Festival of Heroes on Saturday.

As part of the full day of celebrations honouring heroes from every walk of life the elements of the British Army put on a Capability Display showcasing their warfighting skills.

In this instance they simulated an attack on a British patrol and the response, which includes artillery, armoured vehicles and finally an infantry assault on the enemy position.

Elements from 212 (Highland) Battery of 105 Regiment Royal Artillery, 7 SCOTS, 154 Royal Logistics Corps, 106 Battalion Royal Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Scottish and Northern Irish Yeomanry, 225 and 205 Regiments Field Hospital, 32 Signals Regiment, 71 Engineers, 3 SCOTS and Scots Dragoon Guards.
