Trials venue sought

Tayside Police’s Dog Section is on the lookout for venues in the Tayside area to host the Scottish Police Dog Trials.

The Force is due to host the trials in March next year and every Force in Scotland will be invited including entries from the Police Service of Northern Ireland. The top placed competitors from the Scottish trials will then be selected to compete at the National Police Dog Trials in Surrey in April 2012.

Sergeant Bob Saunders said that the force were looking for landowners with safe open fields, woodland or rough ground that they would allow the handlers to both train their dogs on and to use as venues for the trials.

If any person has access to open ground, woodland or buildings which they think could be used by the Dog Section for training or for the Scottish Police Dog Trials, Tayside Police would like to hear from you. For further information or to discuss sponsorship opportunities please get in touch with Constable Ryan Galloway on 07891 999833 or Sergeant Bob Saunders on 07808 899076.
