Police are investigating a theft from the old Angus County Press headquarters.
A single-axle trailer was stolen from the rear of the building on Forfar’s Craig O’ Loch Road.
The five feet by three feet trailer has brown stained wooden side panels and tail gate and is believed to have been taken some time between 1 pm on Tuesday, February 8 and 1 pm on Wednesday, February 9.
Officers in Angus are also investigating a break-in to a cottage in Westmuir, by Kirriemuir, some time between 11.30 am on Tuesday, February 8 and 1.45 pm on Thursday, February 10.
The one-storey dwelling lies along an unclassified road that leads from the A926 Kirriemuir to Alyth road and the B951 Kirriemuir to Lintrathen road.
Nothing appears to have been taken from the address at this time.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area of either crime and who may have seen someone or something suspicious to call them on 0300 111 2222.
