President Deirdre McKean welcomed 15 members and guests to the September meeting of the Inner Wheel in the Thrums Hotel, Kirriemuir.
The district president, Pat Johnston from Banff, challenged members to consider “What is a Friend” and also to think about the fun and friendship enjoyed within Inner Wheel.
The speaker for the evening was Liz Nicoll who showed slides and gave an interesting talk on her travels through western United States from The Rockies to Alaska.
Many of the places she talked about: Bryce Canyon, Jasper, Banff, Butchart Gardens and Ketchikan were recognised by those present and brought back happy memories of holidays past.
A pleasant evening reminiscing about mountains and glaciers, elk, bears and log jams.
