Forfar man Gary Milne was successful in his attempt to bag the ‘Big 10’ Munros in Scotland as part of a gruelling triathlon.
He was also raising money for the Scottish Mountain Rescue Service.
Gary recently swam across Loch Lomond and cycled and swam a 200-mile route taking in some of the country’s most breath-taking scenery and most challenging terrain.
Despite feeling after the three days as if he had been “hit by a bus,” he said he was satisfied with what he had done and that he had completed the challenge on time.
He added: “Each day I went through phases, usually while going uphill, of asking why I was doing it then phases of enjoying it and having fun.
“My feet are a bit torn up and my ankles are a bit scraped but otherwise I don’t think there are any lasting injuries.”
