If you are keen to get out and about to keep fit by walking, then a new group in Kirriemuir is just for you.
Steps Tay Health have started a new walk in the town.
Drew and Murdo, trained walk leaders, led the first walk taking in Kirrie Hill on a beautiful day.
It was a lovely walk for those who took part and a great way of getting to know new people.
Steps Tay Health is a joint initiative between NHS Tayside and Paths For All.
The walks are designed for individuals interested in becoming more active and meeting new people, whilst exploring the local community.
A health walk consists of a short, 30 minute walk around a planned route, in a small group led by a trained, experienced volunteer walk leader.
The length and speed of the walk is entirely down to the individual’s choice and this activity is, quite literally, an ideal first step towards a more active, healthier lifestyle.
Walks are suitable for all ability levels, even for those with impaired mobility.
If you are interested then meet the group at Kirriemuir Library at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday.
More information on the walk is available from Frances on 01307 476495.
