‘Getting The Balance Right ’ is the theme of this year’s Angus Health Fair which will be held in the Reid Hall in Forfar on Thursday, September 20, between 10am and 3pm.
This year’s health fair will be the biggest ever, offering many opportunities for people to learn about improving their own health and how to help contribute to the health and wellbeing of others in their community.
The free fair is in its 20th year, is organised by Voluntary Action Angus and is supported by NHS Tayside and Angus Council Social Work and Health.
The fair attracts a wide range of stallholders representing health, housing, social care and environmental organisations and provides an opportunity for the people of Angus to find out what services are on offer and to find out about voluntary groups in the area.
Stalls will be staffed by volunteers, healthcare professionals and representatives from organisations. They will be on hand to provide information and advice to the public on a range of topics including smoking cessation, sensible drinking, good mental health and wellbeing as well as physical activity and nutrition information for children and older people.
