IT will be a case of second time lucky for the village of Glamis this Saturday when the Christmas lights are switched on.
The official switching on was due to take place last Saturday bust was postponed due to the adverse weather.
However it is all systems go for this weekend, when Glamis Community Council host an event in the Masonic Hall in the village.
Everyone is invited along to the reception where there will be mulled wine, mince pies and sausage rolls.
The evening begins at 5.45 pm when thre will be refreshments and carol singing, before local man Sandy Ingram "throw the switch" at 6.15 pm.
The event is free of charge.
