Scene set for a taste of summer

After a successful run last summer with Tayroots, TradAngus is now busy finalising the programme for this summer’s traditional song and music sessions in towns and villages around Angus.

This Friday, (July 1) there will be a chance to get a taste of what is to come.

TradAngus is hosting a concert with some of the best traditional singers and musicians of Angus in the Old Parish Church Hall in Kirriemuir.

Starting at 7 pm there will be songs from Sinsheen, Maureen Jelks and Lesley McLuckie, Roy Henderson and Jim Penny. There will also be tunes from The Ryan Family, Nigel & Neil Jelks, David Adam, Ian Milne, Kyle Howie, Mike Lean and more.

Tickets cost £6 (£5 concessions, £4 TradAngus Members) and the evening will finish off with an open session at Three Bellies Brae after the concert.
