SEPTEMBER sees the return of one of the UK’s leading running events and Action for Children Scotland is appealing to Angus residents to have a bite at this monster marathon.
Participants in the Baxter’s Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running on Sunday, September 29, have the opportunity to soak up the breathtaking scenery whilst raising vital funds - and keeping watch for Nessie!
Action for Children Scotland is calling for keen runners in Angus to put their best foot forward in order to raise money for vulnerable and neglected children, young people and families.
Hilary Canto, fund-raiser at Action for Children Scotland, said: “We run more than 75 services for more than 5,000 of Scotland’s most vulnerable children, young people and their families. These services include family centres, support for those leaving care, fostering, intensive support, short breaks and residential services. We also work with children and young people who act as carers and those with a variety of learning needs. We need your support to continue our life changing work.”
All money raised will help Action for Children provide a wide range of support to children and families across Scotland. To find out more please contact Hilary Canto on 01463 717227 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
