The latest £250 sponsorship cheque from the Forfar Roof Truss Company has hit the right notes for Kirriemuir youth organisation DD8 Music
As they plan ahead for their popular open-air event, ‘Live in the Den’, which takes place on Sunday (June 27), the £250 financial boost will help purchase valuable equipment for their Bellie’s Brae studio.
Graham Galloway, development worker, said: “DD8 Music has been working with the young people of Kirriemuir for nearly 10 years now.
“It is a group that was born from the ideas and needs of the young people in the town, and they have continued to be the driving force behind it.
“We run two free weekly youth sessions that are always well attended. In addition to that we run the annual Bonfest and Live in the Den festivals, which bring in large numbers of visitors to the town.
“If successful our donation would go towards buying some new equipment for our studio in Bellies Brae.
“Our success over the years means that some of our equipment is in need of upgrading, and the £250 would enable us to buy some fantastic gear for our young people to practice on.”
The monthly Roof Truss sponsorship cheque is made in conjunction with the Forfar Dispatch and Kirriemuir Herald.
