A young Forfar film-maker is the latest recipient of the £250 Forfar Roof Truss Sponsorship cheque, run in conjunction with the Dispatch and Herald.
Ryan Dewar, along with Ian Grieve, has produced and funded ‘Time Teens: The beginning’ and is in the process of editing the final film which will be premiered in the next few weeks.
In his application Ryan, who directed the film, said: “It is a Perthshire and Angus-based feature film which has been filmed in and around the areas in places like the stunning Lowson Memorial Church, Glamis Castle and Rescobie.
“The all professional cast includes Ian Grieve (‘Rebus’, BBC’s ‘Garrows Law)’, Andy Gray (‘City Lights’, ‘Rab C. Nesbitt’) and Liam Brennan (Broadway and Globe Theatre regular).
“With support and donations from business or individuals collectively this would enable us to purchase the computing power necessary to complete the editing and also help support the production costs so far and future premiere and international festivals we endeavour to enter. Our goal is to showcase the character of Angus and Perthshire as film-rich landscape with a supportive community, eager to prove their honourable area in this feature film showcase.”
