Retiral of deputy head teacher

The last day of term at Langlands Primary School marked the retiral of deputy head teacher Mrs Heather Crole.

To mark the occasion, she enjoyed a meal with staff members at the Strathmore Arms Hotel at Glamis where she was presented with flowers and a gift voucher.

Mrs Crole, who lives in Blairgowrie, started teaching in 1974 at Rattray Primary School.

She worked at the Perthshire school for 15 years before moving to Langlands Primary School in 1989, working as an assistant head teacher before becoming deputy head eight years ago.

She has witnessed a lot of changes at the Forfar primary, including the school being decanted to Chapelpark whilst the new school was built. She is looking forward to holidays with her husband, Brian, and researching her family tree.
