Kirriemuir’s fun charity swimathon, Splash, is now accepting teams from local community groups, businesses and swimming and sports clubs from all over Tayside.
This year’s event will take place in Webster’s Sports Centre on Saturday, September 24.
The event will see teams of six to eight swimmers, aged eight and up, competing to see who can swim the most laps in their 25 minute slots.
Splash is Tayside’s longest running sports fund-raiser, and over the past 26 years over £180,000 has been raised for local and worldwide charities. The charities supported this year are Scottish Air Ambulance; Ronald McDonald House; The Angus Toy Appeal; Operacion San Andres, Peru; Dr. Graham’s Homes Kalimpong India. Money is raised by sponsorship for swimmers and also by generous local businesses sponsoring lanes.
Registration forms can now be picked up from the reception at Webster’s Sport Centre or by emailing email@example.com and returned to the sports centre by Wednesday, September 14 at the latest to ensure entry.
