Reduction in house crime

AN update on Tayside Police’s current performance was given to this month’s meeting of Forfar Community Council.

In his report Community Liaison Officer Constable Ally Smith said domestic housebreaking reported in Angus between April and November 2011 reduced by around 11% compared to the same period in 2010.

There was a significant reduction in non-dwelling housebreaking – a reduction of over 40% compared to last year and commercial housebreaking was also down by around a third.

The downward trend in reported vandalism continues.

Between April and November 2011 (inclusive) reported crimes were almost 14% down on reported crimes during the same period last year.
