Re-union for Forfar Academy pupils

A group of former third year pupils who attended Forfar Academy in 1965 when the new school opened held a re-union at the school a week past Friday. Forty-seven attended the celebration, including Colin Henderson, (pictured seated centre), who had travelled from Canada. Most of those who attended expressed an interest in repeating the event on an annual basis. The evening included a two course buffet, the cutting of a celebration cake and tours round the school. Thanks go to members of the current parent council who provided and served refreshments, senior pupils who took the former pupils on the school tour, and Mr John Vannet, depute head teacher, for his assistance in the organisation of the event.
