The Academy Medical Centre Patient Participation Group (PPG) is holding a coffee morning on Saturday, September 13 in the Guide Hall, Forfar from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
All the usual stalls will be available, including cake and candy, bottle stall and raffle.
The cost will be £2 per person, which includes coffee and pancake. All will be made very welcome.
The Academy Medical Centre’s PPG is one of the few active PPGs currently operating in Scotland.
Earlier this year it was successful in obtaining a small community grant from Angus Council to help fund improvements to the information point located in the reception area of the practice.
The grant provided additional resources to patients and visitors accessing the service to be given leaflets and fact sheets that are downloaded from NHS approved websites.
Academy patients and visitors are also able to access free wifi within the waiting room and reception areas.
In order to maintain the current resources and to provide other services for patients the group require to enhance its funds and it is hoped there will be a good turnout at the coffee morning.
