Raising Forfar firm closure with government

Angus North MSP Nigel Don will this week raise the liquidation of long established Forfar employer Ross & Bonnyman with Scottish Government Ministers.

The company specialised in the design and manufacture of lifting products such as yard lifts, mezzanine lifts and dock levellers and employed 80 people.

“This is very bad news for the whole community as the loss of many skilled jobs will affect businesses in Forfar and the surrounding area,” commented Mr Don.

“I hope that the administrators will explore every opportunity to preserve parts of the business and retain as many jobs as possible locally.

“I shall be raising the matter with Scottish government ministers to ensure that every assistance is offered to those so cruelly affected by this news.”
