Artwork produced by pupils at the Rainbow Room at Langlands Primary School features on “new home cards” sent out by Forfar Removals.

The company invited the youngsters at the support for learning base in Forfar to come up with designs for the cards which they send to their customers.

All seven drawings were incorporated onto the card and four of the seven pupils visited local printers Astute where Andy Price guided them through the process of design, approval, creation of the plates, and adjustment of the colours before allowing the children to watch the printer print the card they had designed.

Andy then showed how the cards are cut and each child was given a copy of the print as a memory of their part in its creation.

Catriona Thomson, ASN teacher in the Rainbow Rooms said: “It was really good for the children to have a chance to have a link with the wider community and to design something that was actually going to be used.

“They had never been to a printers before so it was a great experience for them to see the printing process and all the more exciting as it was their own work coming off the printers.

“Thank you to Forfar Removals and Astute for all the time they spent with the children and also to Forfar Removals who gave a donation to school. We are very grateful.”
