D&A College is currently recruiting for a Prince’s Trust Team based at its Arbroath Campus.

People from all the Dispatch and Herald area are being invited to take part in the 12-week programme which begins on Monday, February 9.

D&A College staff are hoping to recruit 14 hardy souls, from the Forfar and Kirriemuir areas to take part in the three-month programme aimed at preparing them for that vital ‘next step’ into employment or further education.

The Prince’s Trust project helps people aged between 16 and 25 develop confidence, learn new skills and get into work as well as bringing together people from different backgrounds and circumstances and with different abilities.

The Prince’s Trust Team Programme attracts people from all walks of life and encourages team members’ individual personal development in areas such as communication, leadership, motivation, confidence and tolerance.

Course leader Marie Stewart said: “The Prince’s Trust Team is open to school-leavers, graduates and unemployed people. Not only can it can it be a very fulfilling experience, taking part can also lead to employment or opportunities to try things never previously considered.”
