LOCAL groups could be in line for funding from Angus Council.
Angus Riding for the Disabled (RDA) which is based in Inverarity by Forfar and the Angus Young Engineers (AYE) After School Club, which is also based in the town, have been recommended to be awarded grants in a report by Eric Lowson, director of Infrastructure Services.
The RDA could get £500 to go towards lightweight plastic jump poles to be used in riding lessons and activities.
Meanwhile the AYE requested a grant of £500 to go towards the purchase of a wireless internet hub and switches, CAD software, laptops, start up materials and a test track with timing facilities.
Members of the recently formed AYE will participate in national young engineers projects such as scalextrics4schools and Formula 1 challenges where teams compete to design, build and compete nationally.
