Friday Night Project: Tayside Police are eager to recruit the assistance of parents in the Forfar area to support the Friday Night Project by encouraging their youngsters to attend. Do parents know where there children are on a Friday night, when they are away from home? A common topic raised by local youths when engaging with the police is “there is nothing to do” so they hang about in the streets. So our message to the local youths is come along and support the Friday Night Project and you will have something to do - you never know you might even enjoy yourself. You will have the opportunity to suggest to the organisers what activities you would like them to organise for you. The Friday Night Project is a multi agency youth initiative. The event is held at Forfar Leisure Centre between 6.30 pm and 9pm. Young people from primary 7 and all of secondary school age are invited to attend.

The project is also supported by Angus Council’s Community Wardens and Community Learning and Development Service, Pitstop Forfar, Tayside Council on Alcohol, Volunteer Centre Angus, Tayside Fire and Rescue Service and volunteers from the Forfar and Area Partnership.
