The Royal British Legion Scotland Forfar Branch will hold its annual church service, parade and wreath laying ceremony on Sunday (November 9).
The Remembrance Service will be held in St Fergus Church and will be conducted by the Rev Brian McLean. The service will begin at 11 a.m.
Leaders of organisations attending are requested to ensure their members are seated by 10.45 a.m.
On completion of the service the parade will muster in The Myre Car Park at 12.30 p.m.
A limited amount of transport from the church to the Myre Car Park will be available for veterans and disabled parade participants.
The parade, formed by members of the RBLS, civic dignitaries, members of the local clergy, Armed Forces representatives past and present and officers and members of the uniformed and non-uniformed youth organisations, will then proceed to the Cross where a short service and wreath laying ceremony will take place.
On completion of the service, the parade will march via East High Street, Coutties Wynd and Academy Street to the RBLS clubroom’s where parade participants will be served a soup and sandwich lunch.
A short wreath laying ceremony will also take place at the Balmashanner War Memorial at 2 p.m.
