Panto fun in Kirriemuir

Members of Kirriemuir Panto Group will take to the stage this week with their own version of the ‘The Snow Queen’.

The bright and lively show by Ron Hall is sure to delight young and young at heart equally. Inspired by and based very loosely on the classic the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, this show will both enchant and amuse in turn.

When the evil Snow Queen steals a young boy from a town in Germany to become her Snow Prince the townspeople are up in arms and the story tells of how the boy’s brother and his friends attempt to rescue him from the him from the Queen’s clutches at her palace at the North Pole. It has all the essential ingredients of pantomime with all the inevitable fun and adventures along the way.

The show runs in Kirriemuir Town Hall until Saturday, December 6 with performances nightly at 7.30 p.m. with a Saturday matinee at 2.30 p.m.

Tickets are available now from Rainbow Gifts, Cumberland Close, Kirriemuir and cost £9 for adults and £6 for concessions.
