WHEN it comes to the European Union, a group of primary six pupils from Northmuir Primary School are in a class of their own.
Levi Leith, Christopher Reid, Molly Sinclair and Murray Scrimgeour were put to the test in the Angus heat of a Euro-Quiz run by the Scottish European Educational Trust - and they walked away with the Angus title and a place in the national final at the Holyrood Parliament. The four studied extensively at school and at home and principal teacher Mrs Norma Craigon praised their efforts in learning a whole raft of European subjects from capital cities, history and geography to sport and culture.
She said: “There were ten teams in the Angus final in Brechin and they did very well. We are looking forward to our trip down to Holyrood on the train in June for the Scottish final. We are all so delighted. It was a huge amount or work and I must pay tribute to the work parents put in at home, we really appreciate it.”
