The MEFFAN Winter Exhibition has been proving popular with visitors to the Forfar gallery and museum.
This open exhibition attracts entries from talented artists from all over Scotland.
Following a record entry this year there are 342 exhibits on display in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, fine art prints and sculpture.
The winners in the professional category were chosen by a panel of professional artists, whilst the winner of the Amateur category has been decided by votes cast by visitors to the exhibition.
The ballot papers have been counted and the winning exhibit in the Amateur Category is ‘Invergowrie Sunset’, a pastel by artist Lesley Garside who wins £200.
In addition, the ballot papers were put into a draw and the first name out of the hat was Kerry Hutchison, who wins a book token.
There is still plenty of time to visit the exhibition and see all the entries and prize winners. The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and runs until December 29.
All the artworks on display are for sale, so it is an ideal opportunity to purchase a unique gift or an investment for the future.
