A special Christmas market will be held indoors at the Strathmore Hall in John Street Forfar this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The regular stallholders from the Angus Farmers Market will welcome some new special quality crafters and food producers making this their biggest market of the year.
The stalls will be packed with fantastic quality produce with a great variety of food, drink and country crafts and customers will find everything from Alpaca wool gifts to locally brewed beers all together in a fantastic indoor venue.
Regular stallholder Puddledub Pork will be back and if you need to pick up first-class sausages, hams and roasts in time for Christmas you can buy them on the day.
Customers will also be spoiled for choice with Kirrie Ales, Eden Brewery and Strathearn distillery all attending, bringing together a fantastic variety of festive drinks for the party season as well as a wide variety of gift ideas.
Strathearn Distillery has gift packs of Scottish gins and individual bottles are available in two sizes. Samples are available at the market giving customers the chance to try before they buy - part of the farmers’ market’s unique buying experience.
There is truly something for every member of the family as organisers have arranged some free entertainment for the children as a face painter will add a little sparkle and there is also the regular children’s cookery club with resident chef Hayley Wilkes.
Chef Hayley will also prepare dishes throughout the morning including some great ideas for canapés and party food. Delicious hot food will be available from the market cafe, selling market produce, where there will be entertainment from a young local fiddler.
There will also be a raffle for a hamper bursting with delicious produce, so a great way to kick-start the festivities. Further information about the market is available online at www.angusfarmersmarket.co.uk
