LUSTRE is the first of four open weekends during 2013 at Hospitalfield House, Arbroath.
It is an opportunity to spend a few hours touring the house this Friday, March 22 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Entry is free and heritage tours of the house run every half hour and cost £4.
From Hospitalfield’s kitchen, the chef, Rod Linton will be working over the weekend to provide all of the visitors with wonderful homemade hot and cold food served in the Music Room, so head along for lunch, late or early.
Hospitalfield has supported contemporary artists since the Trust was established in the 1890’s and even before this as the collections were being established in the mid 19th century.
As well as offering the opportunity to tour the wonderful collections and interiors of Hospitalfield, LUSTRE will include the installation of film works by four artists: Rosalind Nashashibi,Lucy Skaer, Elizabeth Price and Stephen Willats.
Parallels will be drawn with the collections in the house and the story of the Allan-Fraser’s who were such informed collectors of their time between the years 1850 and 1890.
Entry is free and heritage tours of the historic house, situated in Arbroath, run every half hour and cost £4 per person.
